Sevilla shock Real Madrid

Funny thing happened on the way to the battle of the unbeaten between Barcelona and Real Madrid next month. Someone forgot to tell Sevilla who beat Real 2-1 win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan tonight.

Without the services of the injured Cristiano Ronaldo, Real seemed to lose its attacking swagger that has carried it so far this season, and instead the attention was focused on Madrid’s poor defence.

Marcelo was ripped apart by Jesus Navas and he was at fault for the opening goal, as he failed to attack a cross and Navas stole in to head home on 33 minutes.

When your best player is your goalkeeper, that is a sign that things are not going well, and that was the case here as Iker Casillas kept Real in the game in the first with a couple of stunning saves, one in particular with his right boot to deny Dirinel Renatodefied could well be the save of the season.

Then out of know where Pepe headed home a free kick just 4 minutes into the second half and all f a sudden Real were back on level terms.
But the Madrid back four was not capable of holding out for the rest of the game and 20 minutes later an unmarked Renato met Adriano’s cross to give Sevilla a well deserved victory.
