The likes of Phil Foden and Oleksandr Zinchenko looked fresh-faced as they made their way off the plane following an eight-hour flight across the Atlantic.
Mahrez, Manchester City’s record signing, is in line to make his debut this week after finalising his £60million move from Leicester.
Joe Hart could also be given another chance to impress Pep Guardiola as the experienced goalkeeper has returned from his season-long loan spell at West Ham.
Manchester City No 1 Ederson will not feature on the trip so Hart and Claudio Bravo will compete for minutes in the States.
Rookie custodians Daniel Grimshaw and Aro Muric have also travelled.
Guardiola will be without several of his star players during City’s time in America due to their participation at the World Cup.
The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph are all on holiday after progressing to the latter stages of the tournament in Russia.
However, Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva have been named in City’s travelling squad despite representing France and Portugal respectively this summer.
Mendy, who will return to City as a World Cup winner, is expected to join up with City towards the end of their tour as he is short of fitness following last season’s cruciate ligament injury.
Silva’s Portugal were knocked out by Uruguay on June 30 so he will also meet up with team-mates towards the end of their tour.
Their pre-season will come to an end at Wembley on August 5 when Guardiola’s side will go up against Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea as they compete for the Community Shield.
