Newcastle United 2021-2022 Fixtures

Toon Army

Newcastle United will welcome West Ham to St James’ Park in their opening fixture of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign on August 14.

Steve Bruce’s side have avoided any of the top six in the opening month of the season, with a trip to Aston Villa (August 21) before facing Southampton at home (August 28).

The Christmas period is the most worrying for Newcastle fans though, with December trips to Leicester (11) and Liverpool (15) before facing champions Manchester City (18) and Manchester United on Boxing Day.

Solskjaer Delighted After “Emphatic” Newcastle Win

Bruno Fernandes Manchester United

Manchester United scored three late goals at Newcastle to earn victory and help ease the misery inflicted by the heavy defeat against Tottenham.

It was an incredible final few minutes for a team who looked as if they had blown their chance of three points following Bruno Fernandes’ failure from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.

United needed a positive reaction following that 6-1 thumping by Spurs before the international break, but their hopes suffered a blow when Emil Krafth’s cross came off defender Luke Shaw and beat keeper David de Gea.

Real Madrid Back On Top Of Richest Club List

Real Madrid has once again regained the top spot the Deloitte Football Money League, but that is only because of the continuing decline of the pound against the euro.

The Deloitte Football Money League list is based on clubs’ revenue excluding transfer fees

Dan Jones, partner in the sports business group at Deloitte, said:

“All the English clubs were impacted by the continuing depreciation of the pound against the euro and the scale of this is shown by the fact that if exchange rates remained at their June 2007 level, United would be top of the money league table.”

Newcastle Fire King Kev

Reports from Newcastle say that Kevin Keegan has been fired by Newcastle after less than eight months after taking over the club.

Keegan reportedly has been unhappy with the Michael Owen negotiations and he was not involved in signing either Xisco or Nacho Gonzalez, while the club were trying to offload Joey Barton without his consent.
Keegan has been at odds with managing director Derek Llambias and Newcastle overlord Dennis Wise. Not surprisingly, Wise is favorite to take over from Keegan.
