West Ham United from the English Premiership head to Columbus to begin their pre-season training. West Ham who finished in the middle of the Premiership last season are led by Welsh striker Craig Bellamy and England forward Dean Ashton. Unfortunately, U.S. international Jonathan Spector will miss the trip after undergoing hip surgery over the summer.
The Hammers have been quiet in the transfer market this summer as manager Alan Curbishley believes that if he can get his squad from last year fit and healthy that West Ham can finish in the top half of the league season this year.
The Columbus Crew have the second best overall record in Major League Soccer this year and will be a tough test for West Ham. The Crew are lead by U.S. defender Frankie Hedjuk and second year forward Robbie Rogers.

From Port Columbus International Airport
Follow I-670 West towards downtown upon exiting the airport.
Follow I-670 to I-71 North.
Exit I-71 at 17th Avenue exit.
Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 17th Avenue.
Follow signs to Crew Stadium.
From I-71 going North
Take I-71 North (from Cincinnati) through downtown Columbus.
Follow all posted signs to stay on I-71 North.
Exit I-71 at the 17th Avenue exit.
Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 17th Avenue.
Follow signs to Crew Stadium.
From I-71 going South
Take I-71 South (from Cleveland) to Columbus.
Exit I-71 South at the Hudson Street exit.
At the top of the exit ramp go straight onto Silver Drive.
Follow signs to Crew Stadium.
From I-70 going East
Take I-70 East (from Indianapolis) to Columbus merging into I-71 North through downtown Columbus.
Exit I-71 at the 17th Avenue exit.
Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 17th Avenue.
Follow signs to Crew Stadium.
From I-70 going West
Take I-70 West (from Pittsburgh) to Columbus.
Exit I-70 onto I-71 North near downtown.
Take I-71 North to 17th Avenue exit.
Turn left at the end of the ramp onto 17th Avenue.
