Will Dybala and Berahino Replace Falcao At Man United?

falcao2-mufcIt’s pretty much a given that Manchester United will make the Radamel Falcao loan deal permament this summer. The former Monaco, Atletico Madrid and Porto striker has struggled to adjust to the Premier League and in midweek he has even hauled off after 70 minutes in a another tepid, goalless display for United’s Under-21s.

LVG recently said that he does not have a 20-goal scorer and the 20-time league champions are the lowest-scoring side in the top four with 47 goals.

So who does Louis van Gaal bring in to replace Falcao, and potentially Robin van Persie? The two names most heavily linked with a move to United at the moment are Paulo Dybala of Palermo and Saido Berahino of West Bromwich Albion.

The 21-year-old Dybala has scored 12 goals in Serie A this season and is rivalling the likes of Carlos Tevez and Gonzalo Higuain for the Golden Boot.

While, closer to home, Berahino, who has converted 24% of his shots this season, was at Old Trafford on Monday to watch United play Arsenal in the FA Cup.

As can be seen below, both Dybala and Berahino would be an improvement over Falcao. Dibble is having the best season of the four, while Berahino and RVP’s numbers are remarkable similar. But considering the quality of service, and lack of other goal scoring options at WBA, I would expect Berahino’s numbers to improve playing with the world class talent that United has.
