Inter Milan’s new striker Samuel Eto’o will get his first taste of a Milan derby on only the second weekend of the Serie A season.
The Italian league announced the fixtures on Wednesday with champions Inter facing AC Milan on 29th or 30th August after beginning their campaign against newly-promoted Bari.
Cameroon international Eto’o joined Milan this week in a swap deal involving Zlatan Ibrahimovic going to Barcelona.
Juventus, runners-up last season, will visit Roma on the second weekend of the new season.
Matches on the first two weekends will all be played in the evenings, with a decision due shortly on the exact dates for games in the early part of the campaign.
Another standout fixture will be Juventus travelling to Milan, who finished a stuttering third last term, on the final day of the season on 16th May.
Juventus versus Inter and the Rome derby between Roma and Lazio will take place on 5th or 6th December, with the return fixtures on 17th or 18th April.
