It was a game that had everything. Goals, unbelievable tension, red cards and finally a winner. Fifty years on from the Munich air disaster, Manchester United won their third European Cup final in a dramatic shootout.
It was a game of 2 halves and overtime. The first half belonged to Man Utd, who easily could have been three up after 30 minutes. But Chelsea battled back as they and hit the post twice, in the second half and overtime.
Avram Grant answered all the questions about his tactical knowledge with some great half-time adjustments, while Cristiano Ronaldo scored again in a big game.
It will take Mr. Chelsea, John Terry a very long time to get over his penalty miss, which would have won the game for Chelsea. people will be debating for years if Terry would even have been in that position if Drogba had not got himself red carded late in overtime.
Overall it was a great game that kept you on the edge of your seat for the whole 120+ minutes. The win is a second Champions League winners medal for Ryan Giggs, to go with his 10 league titles. I cannot think of another player in any sport that has won as many medals as Giggsy.
