Wow, it is amazing how far Kaka has fallen in the last five years. Back in 2009, Real Madrid paraded the Brazilian in front of 55,000 fans at the Santiago Bernabeu after spending a massive £56 million to sign him from AC Milan. It was Kaka, not Cristiano Ronaldo, who was supposed to be the face of the new Galactico’s.
But the combinations of injuries and a lack of form meant that Rickie never hit the heights in Madrid that he had shown in Milan, and five years later he was signed by the MLS Expansion side Orlando City.
However, with Orlando not set to begin play in MLS until next month, Kaka has had to wait to make his debut, but it’s finally arrived. Well, for the reserves anyway. So, you probably think thousands of those soccer-starved supporters flocked to see a living legend in the flesh for the first time, right?
Not quite. As per the Independent, only one bloke and his trusty canine were in attendance. That is some fall from grace.
He scored a penalty in a 4-0 win, though as you can see here.
I wonder when was the last time Kaka played in front of such a small crowd? Maybe as a young kid in Brazil?
