Barcelona Suffer Shock Defeat To Osasuna

Barcelona’s shocking away form resulted in another loss last night, and with it any chance that Barca has of retaining their La Liga title this season.

Barcelona have now dropped a staggering 16 points away from him in the league this season. As incredible number. And a number that will cost Barca a chance to retain its La Liga crown.

With the Champions League beginning again next week, Pep Guardiola had more than one eye on that match as he sent his team his team out to play Osasuna. Here is how Barca lined up. Valdes, Alves, Piqué, Puyol, Abidal, Mascherano, Sergi Roberto, Thiago, Pedro, Alexis and Messi. Not Barca’s strongest line-up but one more than capable to grab the win.

But five minutes in and Barca were one-down as Osasuna cut by Puyol and Pique as if there were standing still.

If you thought that goal was bad, wait until you see the second. What was Pique doing spinning around as if he was spinning on the dance floor to a Shakira song.

At half-time Guardiola made some changes. He brought on Cuenca and Tello for Pedrito… and Puyol. And the changes worked as five minutes into the second half Barca pulled one back when Alexis scored after a lovely Cuenca cross into the box.

I was sure that Barca were going to go on an win this match, but then I forgot that Pique was still playing and he was good for another Osasuna goal. Just shocking defending on his part.

Tello pulled one back with 15 minutes to go, after a nice pass from Fabregas, but it was too little too late for Barca.
