AC Milan President Calls Mario Balotelli ‘Infectious’

Manchester City's Mario Balotelli gestures towards Manchester United fans after winning their FA Cup semi-final soccer match in LondonStrong words from AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi, who says that he is not interested in signing Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli, calling him a “rotten apple”.

Milan have been continually linked with Balotelli as the striker grew up supporting the Rossoneri and has expressed an interest about going back to Italy to continue his career.

However Milan president Berlusconi claims the Italy international is not on their radar.

Berlusconi has seen the problems Balotelli has caused at Inter and City and feels he would only cause grief at Milan.

“The name of Balotelli never came into my thoughts,” he said. “He is a rotten apple and could infect every group where he goes, even Milan.”

Berlusconi has also criticised Balotelli before and in 2011 he claimed he was not interested in him, saying his antics did not fit with “Milan’s style of behaviour”.

And that is the problem that Manchester City has with Balotelli. They cannot sell him. There are only a handful of clubs in the world that can afford Balotelli’s wages. And none of them (Milan, Juve, Inter, Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, Chelsea, United) are interested in sighing him. They all see Balotelli as more trouble than he is worth, despite his talent.

Man City’s best hope might be to see if mega rich Anzhi is interested in Balotelli, as they the only other side I can see who could afford him.
