Sepp Blatter Apologizes

Pele, Sepp Blatter - World Economic Forum Annual Meeting Davos 2006FIFA president Sepp Blatter has apologised to both the English and Mexican FA’s for refeering errors that impacted both countries round of 16 games this week.

“Yesterday I spoke to the two federations [England and Mexico] directly concerned by referees’ mistakes said Blatter. “I have expressed to them apologies and I understand they are not happy and that people are criticising.”

After the tow high profile refeering errors there has been renewed pressure on FIFA to add in goal-line technology, something that Blatetr has refused to do in the past.

But the good politician that he is, Blatter says he is now take a look at the technology saying:

“We will naturally take on board the discussion on technology and have the first opportunity in July at the business meeting.”
