Pierre Webo’s early goal helped Mallorca to a 1-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in La Liga action on Monday. Emilio N’Sue dribbled free past his marker deep in Bilbao’s half before finding Webo inside the box to guide home the 11th-minute winner.
Mallorca ended a run of six losses in nine matches to join Getafe, Sevilla and Real Sociedad in seventh place on 31 points, one more than Atletico Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao, which was unbeaten in five games coming into the match, stayed fifth, seven points behind fourth-place Villarreal.
