World Cup

Is this the worst red card in World Cup history?

Your team is in a must-win World Cup game. You feel the pressure of being an African national playing in the first World Cup in Africa. But your team is leading 1-0 over Greece and you so this?

The player I am talking about is Nigeria’s Sani Kaita who was shown a straight red card for doing his best Eric Cantona Kung Fu impression. Kaita gets sent off, Greece get back into the game and eventually wear down the 10-man Nigerian team, beating them 2-1 and all but ending Nigeria’s World Cup dreams.

A strong center back is a must for Inter defence rather than fullback. We have no good alternative on that department as a substitute to Joao Miranda or Jeison Murillo. Marco Andreolli is just fine but his age us above 30 already. Gery Medel is good for that position, but his height can be a problem to form a strong twin towers.
