Former England coach, and current Mexico coach, Sven Goran Eriksson is Portsmouth’s No 1 target to replace Tony Adams.
Several Portsmouth players including Peter Crouch, Sol Campbell, Glen Johnson and David James played under Eriksson for England and they are reportedly keen for their former manager to return to England.
If, or should I say when, Mexico loses to the U.S. on Wednesday, Ericksson could be back in England by the weekend. The only question would be whether Sven has time to quit before the Mexican Federation fires him after Wednesday’s match!
