Man United Going to Moscow

After a week of controversy about his tactics in the first leg, Sir Alex silenced his critics by finally winning his secind Champions League semi-final. The 1-0 win over Barcelona sets up an all English clash in Moscow next month with rivals Liverpool or Chelsea.

The game was not a soccer classic, but the tension kept you on the edge of your seat for the whole 90 minutes.

The final will be just the third involving clubs from the same nation in the 52-year history of the competition. Real Madrid defeated Valencia in 2000’s all-Spanish matchup, and AC Milan beat Juventus in 2003’s all-Italian final.

United, which also won the title in 1968, extended its home winning streak in Champions League play to 12 games. Manchester United also is closing in on its second straight Premier League title. With two matches left, it is tied with Chelsea at 81 points but ahead on goal difference.
