Pogba’s Goal Keeps Juventus Top Of The Table

Paul Pogba scored deep into added time to give Juventus a 2-1 win against lowly Bologna and a four-point lead at the top of Serie A ahead of Inter Milan.

With Pogba and Andrea Pirlo in fine form, Juventus dominated the match against Bologna, but it took until the 54th minute for the deadlock to be broken, Fabio Quagliarella turning in Emanuele Giaccherini’s header across goal. With 19 minutes to go Saphir Taider beat Gianluigi Buffon at his far post to equalizer, but that just set the stage for Pogba’s dramatic winner as he turned in Sebastian Giovinco’s cross.

Carlos Carmona’s 19th-minute goal gave Atalanta a 1-0 victory against Napoli, who are now behind Inter. The Nerazzurri trailed Sampdoria at half-time, but, on 51 minutes, Andrea Costa was sent off for conceding a penalty converted by Diego Milito. Rodrigo Palacio and Fredy Guarín added further goals, and while the visitors also lost Tommaso Berni to a late red card, Eder Citadin Martin (90+4) made for a tense finish.

Lazio have a four-point cushion over fifth-placed Fiorentina, who play Genoa in the only game on Thursday, after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at home with Torino.
