Man United Complete Deals For Kroos And Shaw

Toni-KroosThe Daily Express and ESPN are reporting that Manchester United and Bayern Munich have agreed on a deal for midfielder Toni Kroos. The breakthrough appears to have been United’s agreement to pay the transfer fee in full to Bayern.

The Luke Shaw deal is also completed and we are just waiting on the official announcement to the New York Stock Exchange on that. Shaw will be an obvious replacement for the departing Patrice Evra

After last summer’s transfer debacle, Ed Woodward was under immense pressure to get some deals completed before the World Cup starts, and it looks like he has came through.

These are just the first of what promises to be a busy transfer window for United as Louis van Gaal is said to be keen to strengthen the central midfield and central defense while adding some overall pace to the squad.

In midfield United have been linked with a big money move for Arturo Vidal from Juventus while Barcelona have offered United Cesc Fabregas for €40m. Add either of them to United’s midfield along with Kroos, and United look a much different side already than the one that ended the season.

Dortmund defender has been tracked by United for a longtime, but I am not sure they will want to sell another one of their stars. United need at least one world class center back this season, and I am sure that will be Woodward’s goal for the next couple of months.
