Isco Fires Back At Reports Of Player Unrest With Zinedine Zidane

Real Madrid star Isco has angrily dismissed reports that he refused to continue warming up during the weekend’s el clasico against Barcelona.

Lionel Messi inspired Barcelona to a 3-0 thrashing at the Bernabeu with Luis Suarez and Aleix Vidal also finding the net, a result that all but ended the title race in Spain.

A report from Cadena SER in Spain suggested that after Nacho entered the game following Dani Carvajal’s red card, which forced Zinedine Zidane into a change of plan, the Spain international returned to the bench despite the possibility of entering the game.

Zidane was planning to bring on Marco Asensio and Gareth Bale before his side went down to 10 men, but Isco maintains Zidane had already decided to push ahead with his original plan and use up his complimentary of substitutes.

“Stop spreading s***,” Isco snapped on Twitter, while quoting the story.

“My two team-mates were already set to come on.

“I didn’t know that you could have four changes.”

The defending Spanish, European and World Champions are now in crisis with a 14 point deficit to their bitter rivals at the top of La Liga and realistically must concentrate on the cup competitions if they are to win any more silverware this seasin..

In the Copa del Rey they face Numancia after the winter break and then Real will turn their attentions to French chanpions PSG, who they will meet in the Champions League round of 16.
