I asked the question earlier this week whether whether Harry Redknapp On His Way Out Of Spurs? and the answer is Yes as news has came out that Redknapp has left Spurs after four years in charge of the club.
Redknapp and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy met on Wednesday to see if they could work out a new deal for Redknapp, who had just one year left on his current deal. Obviously that meeting did not go well and Spurs are now in the market for a new manager.
While Redknapp has overseen a revival at Tottenham, two top-four finishes in the last three years, there are some within the club who blame Redknapp for failing to qualifying for the Champions League last season.
Spurs missed missed out on playing in next’s season Champions League competition because Chelsea won the trophy.
Before the England rumors began in February, Spurs were double digit points ahead of fourth place Arsenal, and were being touted as possible title contenders.
But then the Harry to England rumors and Spurs insiders blame Redknapp for the way he handled that distraction and Spurs alarming loss of form, that saw them throw away their lead over Arsenal, and squeak into fourth place.
So who will replace Redknapp at Spurs? Leading the list of potential replacements are David Moyes of Everton, Wigan’s Roberto Martinez and Frank de Boer of Ajax.
With Spurs beginning preseason training in less than a month, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will have to move quickly to get a new manager onboard before then.
