Zlatan Turns Down £1m A WEEK Offer From China

We have seen with the massive bid for Chelsea midfielder Oscar that the Chinese Super League can offer wages that nobody else in the world can even dream about.

But if the report in the Daily Mail is true, the Chinese league was ready to wages into the stratosphere and make Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic one of the richest athletes in history with a mind blowing £52 million per year contract offer.

Ibrahimovic joined United on a one-year contract back in the summer of 2016, although Jose Mourinho has said that United have the option of extending the contract for another year.

It was rumoured that Ibrahimovic wants to stay at United, but his head has been turned slightly by the incredible riches on offer in China.

Ibrahimovic, who currently makes around £10 million per year at Old Trafford, looks set to turn down the incredible offer in favour of staying at Old Trafford. This would be a major statement from the 35-year-old, who has been a first-team regular for United this season.

Many were sceptical about the possibility of a player at the twilight of his career being a success at Old Trafford, but he has proved his doubters wrong with 10 goals in his last nine matches and 16 goals so far this season. His brace helped Manchester United secure a 2-0 win over West Brom on Saturday.
