Villarreal coach Juan Carlos Garrido has said that Giuseppe Rossi will be sold if the club receives a good enough offer.
“If we get an offer that is good for Villarreal then it will be accepted and we will thank the player for all his efforts. From there, we will hire players who make Villarreal even bigger,” Garrido told AS.com. “There are many rumors which suggest otherwise, but all players reach a certain stage, and we have to address their needs. If he does leave, then we will replace him with the necessary players. Rossi has played many games and scored many goals and so we have to prepare for possible sales.”
Rossi has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, but Villareal say they have not received an offer from Barca. Rossi scored 18 goals for in La Liga last season and helped Villarreal qualify for the Champions League. Adding his scoring power to an already potent Barcelona offence, will make Barca favourites to win La Liga again next season.
