Unbeaten Battle Tonight in Kansas City

The KC Wizards host the Chicago Fire tonight at 8 p.m. ET in MLS Week 18 action.  The Wizards are enjoying a six-game unbeaten streak.  The Fire also sport an unbeaten record from the last four games with a win and three draws.  Separated by only four points in the Eastern conference standings, the Wizards could move into fourth place with a victory. 

Kansas City is lead by MLS All-Star captain Jimmy Conrad.  The defender has four goals and has logged 1440 minutes in the team’s 16 games.  Forward Claudio Lopez has three goals and three assists.  The Argentine in second on the team with a total of 1426 minutes played from 16 games.  Recent addition Josh Wolff scored in his return game against the Columbus Crew.  That goal from the Wizards legend preserved the team’s unbeaten streak.

Chicago is lead by MLS All-Star MVP Cuauhtemoc Blanco.  The Mexican forward has four goals and six assists thus far.  Blanco faces suspension after his next yellow card. Defender Bakary Soumare has proved more than capable in defense and is second on the team behind Blanco in minutes played.  Forwards Chad Barrett (5) and Chris Rolfe (4) have nine goals combined. 

Prediction:  The unbeaten streaks continue for both: KC Wizards 2-2 Chicago Fire.
