There will be a all-star list of Liverpool and footballing legends heading to Anfield on March 29th for a charity match to benefit the Liverpool FC Foundation.
Among the players that are confirmed to appear are Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres, Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Xabi Alonso, Thierry Henry, John Terry and Didier Drogba.
Not sure what sort of welcome that Terry and Drogba will get from the Kop, but this will be Suarez’s first time back at Anfield since his big money move to Barcelona last summer.
The two sides will be captained by Liverpool legend’s Steven Gerrard’s and Jamie Carragher, and will serve as a farewell match of sorts to Gerrard who is moving the Major League Soccer at the end of the season.
Tickets for this match, which will take place on Sunday March 29, 2015, kick off 3pm, will be priced at £20 for adults, £5 for juniors* and £15 for over 65s. Disabled concessionary prices will also apply.
Proceeds raised will help to fund the Liverpool FC Foundation’s community programmes, which benefit thousands of young people and adults throughout the city of Liverpool.
ickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and LFC Official Members from 1pm on Thursday 5th March while General sale will take place at 8:15am on Wednesday 11th March. Tickets can be bought here from the Liverpool website.
