Inter To Retire Zanetti’s No 4 Shirt

Inter President Erick Thohir has announced that the Nerazzurri will retire club legend Javier Zanetti’s No 4 shirt.

The Inter legend made a record 615 appearances in a 19-year career is a trophy filled career. His finest hour came when he captained the side to Champions League glory in 2010, under the management of Jose Mourinho.

Thohir, announced the news in a video tribute to the Argentine, who is now the club’s sporting director.

Zanetti will make one last appearance on the San Siro pitch on May 4 when he plays in a special charity match celebrating Milan’s hosting of Expo 2015, and his number will be retired at half-time.
