Zidane Wants To Clean Out Dressing Room This Summer

Zinedine Zidane is looking to sell five of his Real Madrid stars in order to lay the foundations for another spree of signings as Madrid look to ring the changes this summer.

According to AS, Zidane has been told in no uncertain terms that he must sell before he buys, meaning that the Frenchman will attempt to offload some of his outcasts in order to fund big money moves.

It spells what could be the end for Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Lucas Vasquez, who have teetered on the outskirts of the Los Blancos squad for large spells of this season.

The Welshman was close to joining Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning on a free transfer last summer before Madrid dramatically pulled the plug on that deal, but he could finally make his Bernebeu exit this summer after a tumultuous couple of years in the Spanish capital.

Not surprisingly, the Spanish report suggests that Zidane also is prepared to offload Luka Modric in the next transfer window.

The Croat has been an integral feature in the success of Madrid this past decade, but at 34, Zidane things it is time to bring in fresh legs.

The futures of Nacho and Marcelo will also be considered by the club, although a joint decision will be made on the future of those two and Modric.

Zidane is planning a bold summer in the transfer market, with his Madrid squad in desperate need of rejuvenation.

Kylian Mbappe and Rayan Cherki are believed to be high up on the wishlist of the Frenchman. The Madrid boss has also reportedly identified Wolves striker Raul Jimenez as an ideal option to ease the attacking burden on frontman Karim Benzema.
