Jurgen Klopp Left Surprised By Watford Defeat

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits his side weren’t good enough as they were swept aside 3-0 by Watford at Vicarage Road.

The Reds failed to create any chances in the first 45 minutes and were completely outplayed by Watford after the interval.

Ismaila Sarr netted twice in the second-half, before Troy Deeney sealed the win in the closing stages.

Liverpool remain 22 points clear at the top of the Premier League and are heading for their first top flight title in 30 years.

But the club’s unbeaten run this term is over- and Klopp admits his side weren’t at the races throughout the tie.

Liverpool Unbeaten Streak Ends At Watford

Liverpool’s hopes of remaining unbeaten for an entire Premier League season were ended in sensational style by a rampant Watford at Vicarage Road.

Ismaila Sarr scored twice while captain Troy Deeney added a third in a sparkling second-half display from the hosts as Liverpool’s run of victories was brought to a shuddering halt.

The Reds had won their past 18 Premier League games and another at Vicarage Road would have made history as the longest winning run in the English top flight.

But they never got going against a Watford side who were superb from start to finish.
