Del Bosque Names Squad For Friendly With Colombia

Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has named his 21-man squad for next Wednesday’s friendly with Colombia in Madrid. He has also warned every player to be prepared to play the full 90 minutes, despite a request from Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho not to overload the players.

Del Bosque told reporters:

“We care for everyone in whatever we can, but we will demand the maximum. I’ve called up a few that are doing well, players who are playing a big role. But everyone is playing well, so we want them aware of how difficult it is to be in this team. Colombia are a good team, almost all their players play in European leagues, and are a team that is well established.”

Spain Squad:
Casillas (Real Madrid), Reina (Liverpool), Valdes (Barcelona); Arbeloa (Real Madrid), Albiol (Real Madrid), Ramos (Real Madrid), Pique (Barcelona), Marchena (Villarreal), Capdevila (Villarreal); Alonso (Real Madrid), Busquets (Barcelona), Cazorla (Villarreal), Iniesta (Barcelona), Xavi (Barcelona), Fabregas (Arsenal), Pedro (Barcelona); Villa (Barcelona), Silva (Man City), Llorente (Athletic Bilbao), Torres (Chelsea), Navas (Sevilla).
