Yahoo sports is reporting that three weeks ago that Real Madrid made a formal bid of €80m for Bayern Munich’s want-away star Franck Ribery.
Madrid President Florentino Perez has made no secret of his desire to add Ribery to his stable of stars and I expect Madrid to come back with a higher bid.
Franz Beckenbauer was quoted earlier this week as saying that Ribery would only depart the club for an offer that at least matched the €94 million Real spent on Cristiano Ronaldo.
The ball is in your court Mr. Perez. Are you willing to go to €94m for Ribery ontop of what you have already spent this summer?
