It has been a busy couple of days for Atletico Madrid. First they signed Tiago from Juventus and then they followed that up by signing Spain U21 striker Adrian Lopez from Deportivo la Coruna.
The 23-year-old, known as Adrian, was the top scorer at the recent European U21 Championships in Denmark, scoring five goals as Spain won the tournament.
He scored eight goals for Deportivo last season as the Galician club were relegated to the second division, and has also had loan spells at Alaves and Malaga earlier in his career.
Atletico announced on their website:
“Adrian Lopez has passed his medical with Atletico Madrid and signed his contract with the Rojiblancos.”
