Roma captain Francesco Totti is a doubt for the city derby at Lazio on October 16 after the club confirmed he has strained a thigh muscle.
The 35-year-old midfielder strained a thigh muscle during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Atalanta, and a statement from Roma read:
“Francesco Totti underwent a scan which revealed a muscular injury in his right thigh. The player’s condition will be evaluated in the next few days.”
Totti scored both goals in a 2-0 win the last time these two sides met back in March. Roma lie level on eight points with Lazio after five games played in Serie A.
