Zinedine Zidane closing in on joining Real Madrid as Mourinho's 'Right-Hand Man'

Zinedine Zidane will always be remembered as a great footballer for Real Madrid but recent reports have now suggested that ex-Madrid player is looking to join Los Blancos again, as Jose Mourinho’s right-hand man.

Suggesting that Zidane will be joining Mourinho as an assistant, it was said that Zidane has already met with both Mourinho and Florentino Perez to discuss what his roles be within the club.

The former French icon went on to say the following:

“Speaking with Mourinho, one realises that he knows perfectly where he is going and how he is going to get there. I do not have the slightest doubt: Real Madrid needed someone like him. Everybody says that he is a very kind man. I would have loved him to have trained me at some point in my career.”

With the lack that Mourinho has as playing as a professional footballer, although he is still considered one of the best coaches if not the best coach, Zidane can definitely bring his experience into the club. Arguably one of the best to ever play the game, Zidane has already praised Mourinho saying, “He [Mourinho] was the perfect man for the Madrid job.”

Do I think bringing Zidane in will help Real Madrid? Yes. Zidane has a ton of experience playing with the best clubs in the world and knows the game very well. Joining up with the Portuguese coach can only help unify Los Merengues even more.

What’s your take on this? Would you rather Mourinho ask someone else for their assistance? Will Zidane be able to have some impact at Madrid as an assistant? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
