Who's Your Daddy?

Cristiano's other favourite stuff..Women from all over the world have dreamed that Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo would whisper these three words to them.  And believe it or not recently Ronaldo, himself, is actually saying these three words to a special somebody.  And no it isn’t to Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, or any other random celebrity either.  In fact Ronaldo isn’t even whispering the sultry words to a female if you can believe it.  In fact the person receiving the provocative three word question is an infant boy of all people.

And the reason why is simple.  Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly a first time daddy and the young superstar footballer announced so on his Facebook account earlier in the week.  The story has been confirmed by the Real Madrid star’s management team and Ronaldo left the following statement on the social networking website Facebook regarding the newest member of the Ronaldo family:

It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy.  As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.  No further information will be provided on this subject and I request everyone to fully respect my right to privacy (and that of the child) at least on issues as personal as these are.

The news was considered to be a great surprise to football fans and gossip column readers alike.  Especially considering the fact that Ronaldo may be the most desired man on the planet right now and the number of women that would have gladly volunteered to participate in the traditional baby making process with the Real Madrid star was likely through the roof.  Ronaldo, though, wisely chose a more private path to the child’s birth via the surrogate route and nobody other then the star and close friends and family even knows who the woman is that actually gave birth to the child.

The only thing we really do know about the woman is that she is from the United States and has agreed to allow the child to live in Portugal with Ronaldo’s family following the ongoing legal paperwork.  So the good news for us Yanks is that we technically could have the next Ronaldo sporting stars and stripes in future World Cup games.  I wouldn’t bet on it, but then again I wouldn’t have bet on this story happening in the first place either.
