With Jose Mourinho having went on to coach La Liga side Real Madrid, some people were raising the question if former Madrid midfielder – Wesley Sneijder – will be joining Mourinho and make a return to Bernabeu. Although, it would seem like a possibility since Mourinho is found of Sneijder, he has went on to say that he does not plan on making a return to Real Madrid.
After a strong season in Inter Milan, it seems that Sneijder is happy with his current location and doesn’t plan on leaving Inter Milan any-time soon. The Serie A giants enjoyed a treble-winning season under Jose Mourinho and will look to repeat their success in the up-coming season.
Sneijder went on to say the following to El Mundo Deportivo :
“I wish Jose Mourinho all the best at Real Madrid and hope he can win everything because he deserves it, but I will not return to Real. I would be crazy to. They treated me badly and without respect.”
When former Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, made his way back to Madrid to take over club, Sneijder feels that he was not given the chance to prove himself. Due to the fact that Sneijder was sold to Inter Milan after he made his feelings known about wanting to stay at Madrid, Sneijder was not given the chance to prove his worth to the club. Instead, they released the Holland midfielder and he does not plan on going back to the club that failed to show him any respect.
Whether or not Jose Mourinho was looking into bringing Sneijder over to Spain is not known, but after his statement to El Mundo Deportivo, you get the feeling that he is not going to be coming back to Real Madrid anytime soon.
Think Real Madrid treated Sneijder bad and wish they left things off in better terms? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
