Zlatan Ibrahimovic has started to prove himself as an important signing for Ac Milan as the striker has been scoring important goals frequently for the Rossoneri in their last few matches.
However, it’s very obvious that the Swede is not yet 100% fit especially with the fact he has been forced to play three matches in a week since making the debut against Cesena, this condition rose the speculation that he could be rested for the weekend game against Parma.
Reports stated that the former Barcelona striker suffered a bit muscular problem in Milan’s last game against Ajax and with the fact he will be called up for International duties next week resting the striker could be a great option. However, looking from the Rossoneri’s latest matches it might be a huge gamble for the Italian giant to rest him next Saturday as the ex-Inter Milan star has been the only goal scorer in the red and black squad’s last three games.
Surely having Ibrahimovic in the field will make the team stronger and could guarantee goals for Milan, but making a rotation in this hectic schedule is also a necessary thing to take especially if Ibra does have a fitness issue. Not only that, resting the 28-years-old for the next serie A game could also give him the rest he needs to regain his fitness right on time before the Rossoneri re-start their adventure after the international break.
Not to underestimate Parma, but with Ronaldinho, Inzaghi and Robinho around there should not be more than enough for the Rossoneri to trouble the Gialloblu’s defense, although the partnership of those three might still be questioned as Milan are still in a working stage. Not only that, should Alexandre Pato is indeed fit enough to at least starting from the bench than resting Ibrahimovic for the match might not be a problem at all.
Moreover, if Allegri still has concern about his team’s attacking quality if they play without Ibra than the ex-Cagliari coach could still put the Swede on the bench for this game and maybe put him on the field should there’s a bad scenario coming for Milan. Having yet to reach his full fitness but has to play in plenty of games in the space of 2-3 weeks are definitely hard for any player including someone as good as Ibrahimovic, aside from that getting a result by resting him will also prove that the Rossoneri are not Ibra-dependent.
