Ac Milan’s defeat against Cesena last Saturday cost more than just than three points as the latest report also revealed that the Rossoneri could be loosing Thiago Silva for their upcoming Champions League match due to injury.
According to press in Italy, Silva suffered a thigh injury during the game which finally forced him to be substituted in the second half at last week’s game against the newly promoted side.
Despite having a doubtful condition there is still no official confirmation whether Silva will be left out by Milan’s coach, Massiliano Allegri on Milan’s midweek match up against French side, Auxerre. The coach would probably wait until the last minute to see whether the Brazilian international could just make it in time for the game.
However, should Silva could not make it for the game, Allegri will probably replace him with Daniele Bonera or Sokratis Papasthoupolous at the center of Milan’s defense. The good thing for the Rossoneri despite of the Brazilian’s probable absence is the return of their senior defender Alessandro Nesta who was injured last Saturday.
Despite having just played a season with Milan, Silva has turned out to be one of the Rossoneri’s important player especially after he formed a strong partnership with Nesta last season. Although the fashion capital club have already purchased to new center backs such as Sokratis and Mario Yepes this season, the 25-years-old still hasn’t lost his place in the first team line up.
