Thiago Silva Eager to Have Ibrahimovic Back On the Pitch

Pato e IbrahimovicZlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make his return for Ac Milan after finishing the three match ban he earned after caught slapping Napoli defender, Salvatore Aronica, in Serie A few weeks ago.

The Sweden international’s return is obviously being cherished by the Rossoneri players, including Thiago Silva, who believed that having Ibrahimovic on the pitch again would obviously help the club’s effort in winning the Scudetto again.

Silva believes that Ibrahimovic is like 50% of the Rossoneri’s strength and with the striker’s unique qualities, the Brazilian international believes that Milan will be much stronger compared to previous matches without the Swede around. Moreover, the former Fluminese defender is also confident that the three match ban that Ibra received will only make him hungrier for victory and more motivated in providing the best for the Red and Black squad.

“Ibra is our extra weapon. He’s 50 per cent of our squad. After the three-game ban, he will return even stronger than before. We need Ibra’s determination, grit, his goals and his hunger. He’s unique in Italy and in the world,” Silva stated.

Moreover, the Brazilian defender also believed that the draw result against Juventus won’t regressed Milan’s motivation in defending their title this season as Silva think that the Rossoneri have shown their quality and capability on that match. The center back is convinced that the squad will be even more motivated in upcoming matches instead of dropping their head because of the controversy surrounding them recently.

Do you know what Milan have more of than Juve? The desire to win. We showed that for an hour last Saturday against them. We deserved to win against Juve. Now they know how strong we are and the psychological aspect is also very important,” the Brazilian added.

Still having several injury problems along with absentees, the return of Ibrahimovic for Milan’s weekend game against Palermo would definitely be a big boost for the Rossoneri especially after the Swede’s fine performance against Arsenal. Massimiliano Allegri’s team would definitely try to immediately forget the controversy happening in the game against Juve and start collecting three points again.
