Having been hit with rumors of a strong interest from Manchester City earlier this month, Ac Milan’s center back, Thiago Silva has cleared things out and ensured the Rossoneri fans that he will be staying at the club. Silva’s statement was revealed during an interview with Italian news paper La Gazetta Dello Sport, in which he explain although he respect if there are other clubs valued his performance but his future is with the Red and Black squad.
“Me at City? Well, I have read something about it, but I have other ideas for my future,” Silva said to La Gazetta, adding”I am ready to stay at the Rossoneri until I am 40 years old. I want to stay with Milan and I want to win .”
This surely bring a breath of fresh air for the Milan fans, regarding the heavy rumors stating that City are willing to cash out 30 million Euro for the Brazilian international, considering his fine performance alongside Alessandro Nesta last season. The 25-years-old , surely among few of the bright spark that the Rossoneri offer’s last season and I would think it would be difficult for the Italian giant to even considering accepting other clubs offers for him
Beside confirming about his future in Milan, Silva also stated that despite he’s disappointed of not seeing Leonardo at the Rossoneri’s bench next season, the Brazilian is looking forward for a new experience under the new coach, Massimiliano Allegri. Although, there’s no official confirmation yet but it seems all the players and the Diavolo Rosso’s staffs that the former Cagliari coach will indeed be the club’s new tactician next summer.
Allegri? A friend told me that the coach is well prepared and that his teams play spectacular football. I like it. Milan work if there is joy and desire to have fun,” Silva stated.
Surely with Silva’s desire to stay and work his best under Allegri, Milan will at least insured that they won’t get any weaker next season, especially with the strong desire from the management in acquiring new talented defenders such as Nicolas Otamendi and Miranda. The Rossoneri are looking to rejuvenate themselves and Silva, might be the man to lead the future Rossoneri’s back line especially after the great Nesta retire from the playing field.
