The Scudetto tale is heating up again in the last two weeks after the current leader Ac Milan suddenly blowing up their chances in taking a further gap with their rivals, now the likes of Inter Milan, Napoli and even Udinese are catching up.
Surely the two previous names are the ones that currently posing the biggest thread for the Rossoneri as Inter are only one point a drift while Napoli are three points shy in third place, a condition that could’ve been avoided by Massimiliano Allegri’s team but in all honesty this situation is exciting for football fans.
Milan may rule out the chance to at least go seven points above Inter last weekend when they met Bari as getting Zlatan Ibrahimovic suspended surely cost them a lot when the Red and Black team met Palermo on the weekend. However, once again as much as the media want to slander the Rossoneri still this situation remains the same, Allegri’s team are the one that deciding the outcome of the league even the current condition showed the margin is smaller.
The Derby will definitely be an important match that could decide the outcome of the road, but still it won’t be that decisive mathematically although mentally it could gave the edge a bit for the winner. The international break that happened makes the tension gets calmer for a while but when April hits, there story will begin again especially with the Milan-Inter match starting right away in the second of the next month.
Napoli will surely be the team waiting for some good news from the Derby result, either way they could gain ground if they can get a win also, something that suddenly become rare when the Partenopei players starting to brag about their title chances. Their coach, Walter Mazzarri, already warned his boys that talking about Scudetto chances shouldn’t be exaggerated as just yet, especially with the inconsistency that the team had lately.
On the other side of the challenge, Udinese are suddenly being considered as a potential challenger especially since they are pretty much the current in form team in Serie A and should the table toppers keeps slipping, Francesco Guidolin’s team are definitely in for a shout. However, once again as much as many people want to predict that Milan are in trouble especially with Ibrahimovic’s absence, they still hold the key, people should not be surprised if they managed to win the Derby and suddenly goes wild again in the league.
Inter are surely the one that breathing closely on Milan’s neck and are eying for something in the Derby, Leonardo a former Milanista will pay a visit in front of his former club’s Ultras hoping for another fairy tale story after his team’s success in axing Bayern Muenchen in the Champions League. Unfortunately the excitement is still being hold for the moment, Italian football fans can start again watching the Scudetto tale up and running on April 2 in the game that pretty much becomes the main act of the story.
