Serie A’s Highest Paid Players

Its always fascinating to know how much the football stars earn. Not because its of any benefit to their millions of fans but mostly because it can be used as a weapon to criticise them if they fail to deliver on the pitch.

Italian Daily Gazzetta dello Sport released their list of the highest paid players in the Serie A and and if your guess is as good as mine, then you should know who tops the list.

Coming in at number 1 is AC Milan’s new addition Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is reportedly set to earn 9 million Euros this season. In position two is Inter Milan striker Samuel Eto’o. The Cameroonian earns 8 million Euros per year.

In position three is another Milan player. Ronaldinho is third on the list earning 7.5 million Euros per year. AC Milan overtook Inter as the highest spending club on players wages earlier this week. With the arrival of Ibra and Robinho it is not had to see why.

Apparently, the Rossoneri are set to spend 130 million Euros this season paying players wages. Now for a club that was supposedly experiencing financial problems, they sure do know how to spend wisely. It still remains to be seen whether the Rossoneri ill be a force to reckon with this season.
