Inter Milan and Italy international Mario Balotelli will no longer wear the Nerazzurri’s famous blue and black strip next season if talks between his agent Mino Raiola and either of Manchester based clubs city or United bear fruit.
Super Mario has long been linked with a move away from Inter with many expecting him to join their fierce rivals Milan-the club he has adored and supported ever since his childhood, however, interest from City and United is set to turn this transfer into a battle of financial prowess as Raiola has stated that whichever club meets or surpasses Balotelli’s 40 million Euros asking price, will inevitably land the 19 year old’s signature.
Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson claims that he can make Balotelli United’s next Ronaldo. Depending on how you look at it, that point may be true or untrue. Ronaldo was only 18 when Sir Alex Ferguson signed him from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2003 and from obscurity went on to become one of the club’s greatest. Although Balotelli might be slightly older, there is no questioning his abilities.
Both Ronaldo and Balotelli are exceptionally skilled and ironically, both have or at least Ronaldo had a temper. Moreover, Balotelli’s fast style of football is more suited to the EPL.
Balotelli has had a rough relationship with the Italian media and sometimes suffered abuse from some fans. This, in addition to his flaring temper has made fans of even his own team occasionally boo him. Balotelli could not be more happier to leave a team and country that has failed to show him the kind of respect he deserves.
The Inter Milan striker in fact discontinued his union with the Italian Association of Players . This in addition to him turning up late for Inter’s training on Monday are just some signs that Balotelli might no longer be interested in remaining in Milan. However, it all boils down to how his transfer talks conclude.
