The third week of Serie A football is in the books and a few clubs continued their excellent pace and kept a perfect record while some other clubs achieved their first victory of the season.
In our SATO Match of the Week, Juventus was up against a difficult away club in Lazio. But Juve would come through with a 2-0 victory and the club currently sits at the top of the league table. AC Milan is frustrated that they are not at the top of the table after their embarrassing match against Inter a few weeks back, but the club could not score in a draw against new boys Livorno putting them at 1-1-1 for the year.
On Sunday Inter would cruise to a 2-0 victory over Parma thanks to new boys Eto’o and Milito scoring both goals. Gilardino would score the loan goal of the Fiorentina win over Cagliari. It is the aging forwards first goal of the year. Red hot Sampdoria would score their lone winner over Atalanta a man down late in the second half. And good news for Roma. The first club to sack their manager can celebrate their first win the very next week. Roma beats Siena 2-1 on the road.
Palermo should be thankful to tie Bari in their home match. The club scored in the 90th minute for the draw. Bari had lead nearly the entire match with a goal in the 2nd minute. Bologna gets upset at home by Chievo Verona 0-2. It’s Chievo’s first victory of the season. Udinese would open up the offense against Catania with a 4-2 victory. Di Natale seems to be the best early goal scorer this year with a hat trick last weekend. And in the final match of the week, Genoa remained perfect with a 4-1 victory over Napoli.
