Another Serie A week of matches is in the books and this week would be a strange one for the world of Italian football. No club could manage more then three goals for the weekend total and half of the total matches ended with a draw. In fact three of those draws did not allow a goal at all making it one of the lowest offensive totals all season for the Serie A.
Bari-Catania was one of these scoreless matches and it should be no surprise. Bari has played excellent defense early on in their promotion, but the club still has struggled finding the net. It would be the same story for Siena-Livorno as well. The other scoreless match should be a little bit more of a surprise. Fiorentina-Lazio ended a draw as well. Both these clubs have productive offenses, but neither could find the net in this battle.
As for the other draws Sampdoria will slide back a spot to second place with a draw against Parma 1-1. And Ac Milan should be thankful for a draw against Atalanta. But Atalanta is the worse team you say? Well Ronaldinho tied it up in the early 80’s for the late draw. AC Milan is struggling so far this year to win matches.
As for the other matches Inter squeaked out a W against Udinese despite a Di Natale goal. Sneijder put away the game winner in the 90th minute 2-1. Genoa easily handled Bologna on the road 3-1. AS Roma has really turned it around and beat Napoli 2-1 at home last weekend. Chievo Verona won on the road as well over Cagliari 2-1. And in the final match Juve lost on the road to Palermo 2-0.
