SATO Serie A Top Performers (Week 3)

Antonio Di Natale

The forward has been very impressive this season.  He already made the Weekly Top Performers list once despite his club only being able to achieve draws this year, but Di Natale would will the club to victory last weekend with a hat trick and 4-1 win over Catania.  Di Natale already has 6 goals this season and is averaging two a game.  The forward has a 3 goal lead over the rest of the Serie A top goal scorers. 

New Boys

Inter is beginning to show clubs worldwide how they quietly put together a squad that can rival any in any other European League.  Alberto Diego Milito and Samuel Eto’o are both goal scoring machines.  Although the club lost arguably the best Serie A player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, they replaced the star with two fantastic players.  Ibs will be missed, but the addition of Eto’o and Milito gives the squad an added dimension.  Last weekend the star players would score the two goals of the match.  Eto’o scored the early second half goal and Milito would put the game away in the 88th minute.

Old Boys

Alberto Gilardino would remind Italian football fans of his pure goal scoring skills last weekend.  The aging forward scored the loan goal for Fiorentina in his home match against Cagliari.  It was Gilardino’s first goal of the season and it came at the perfect time for his squad.  Another aging star’s would score his first goal of the season as well.  Hernan Crespo put away Genoa’s match against Napoli.  The forward would score the critical third goal in the 4-1 victory.
