SATO Serie A Picks of the Week

Nostradamus would be proud of my first full month of picks finishing the four week span with a 26-6 total.  But what about this week?  Let’s take a look into the crystal ball…

Sampdoria has had one of the most explosive offenses in all of Italy, but this weekend they will face the best overall offense in Eto’o and Diego Milito.  I like Inter to win this one 4-2 over Cassano’s first place squad.  Livorno has not had a bad start to the year, but the new club will likely drop a game this weekend against a strong opponent in Fiorentina 1-3.  Lazio is another club that started off their 09 campaign strong and look for the club to remain so with a victory over Palermo this weekend.

Juventus has the best defense in all of Serie A and Bologna has among the worst offenses in the league so far this season.  That deductive reasoning leads me to believe Juve will once again achieve a shutout of their opponent.  This one ends 3-0 in Juve’s favor.  Parma is another under-the-radar squad that has had a strong start to the year and with a home match against a weak opponent, Cagliari, Parma should win this one 2-0.  Speaking of weak opponents Atalanta might be the worse club in all of Serie A football.  They should lose to Chievo Verona 2-0 in this one.

Napoli should be able to handle Siena 2-0 in their home match.  AS Roma will make it three wins in a row over Catania in a road match.  Roma has completely turned it around the last few weeks.  Udinese will drop a shootout with Genoa 3-2 despite at least one Di Natale goal, and AC Milan will beat new boys Bari at home 2-1 in that battle.
