SATO Serie A Matches of the Week (Nov 7)

Inter-AS Roma

Inter is the obvious team to beat and each week seems to be a chance for the powerhouse squad to further there climb away from the rest of the pack.  If some of these middle-of-the-pack clubs don’t step up soon and at least manage a few draws against the returning champs then the spring time will be pretty dull in Italy because Inter could have a fifteen point lead on the rest of the group table.  During the preseason AS Roma was considered to be a lot more then a middle of the pack squad, but Totti and company have not been consistent yet this season and the offense has not lived up to its potential.  The Roma defense has been awful so far this season and this one could get ugly if Inter can get the ball rolling.  Diego Milito found the net last week and he will likely find it again in this home field match.

Final Prediction: Inter 3-0

Udinese-Fiorentina

Where have you gone Antonio Di Natale?  It’s not like the star forward has had a lousy year (nine goals in eleven games), but after the start Di Natale had I was thinking he might score 40 goals.  But in his last six games total (four league matches) Di Natale has not found the back of the net and Udinese has suffered the negative results 1-1-2.  Fiorentina, on the other hand, sits in fifth place and is only three points away from second place.  With a win this weekend it will be two in a row for the tough away squad.

Final Prediction: 2-1 Fiorentina

Lazio-AC Milan

One of the coldest clubs in the league hosts one of the hottest.

Final Predicition: 1-0 Milan
