SATO Serie A Matches of the Week (DEC 5-6)

Juventus-Inter

Juventus has begun to slip the last few weeks and has dropped two out of their last five matches.  Inter, on the other hand, has continued their unbeatable pace and now have a comfortable seven point lead over the rest of the league table.  Milito is playing MVP caliber football and Inter remains the team to beat until proven otherwise.  Juventus needs at least a draw to remain a top three team after this match.

Final Prediction: Inter 2-0

AC Milan-Sampdoria

Milan has been (along with Inter) the hottest team in Italy recently and that bad start to the year is all but forgotten for Leonardo’s squad.  Milan enters this match coming off of a draw last week and the perennial powerhouse squad won four in a row before last week.  Sampdoria has been one of the most disappointing clubs in Serie A as of late losing earlier in the week to be bounced from the Coppa Italia.  The team with one of the hottest starts in Italy has dropped three out of their last five matches and have slid all the way back to fourth place.  Lose on the road this week and the club could find themselves in sixth or seventh place.

Final Prediction: Milan 3-1

Genoa-Parma

This is the battle of the underrated squads and most people don’t realize it, but these two teams currently reside in fifth and sixth place heading into this battle.  Both squads have only lost one match in their last five and both could easily become a top four team as long as they win this weekend.  Genoa has the home field advantage which could make all the difference for this match-up.

Final Prediction: 1-1
