AC Milan-Bologna
Here is a case of two clubs that have struggled so far this Serie A season. Bologna goes on the road in this one and the club so far has had all sorts 0f trouble finding the back of the net. Marco Di Vaio, who scored over twenty goals last season, has yet to score so far this season and Bologna is winless in three matches this year. Milan on the other hand needs a home win to assure a remaining spot in the top ten in the league table. Last week Milan’s offense escaped them in a 0-0 draw with Livorno. Both teams need a win in this early battle of sputtering, but promising offenses.
Chievo Verona-Genoa
Last weekend Chievo pulled off the surprising victory over Bologna to secure their first win of the 2009 season. This week they get the tough task of playing against one of the three remaining unbeaten clubs in Serie A in Genoa. Genoa must go on the road to continue their unbeaten streak, but with another victory Genoa can separate themselves from the likes of Milan, Udinese, and Palermo. Let’s see if the club can make it four in a row.
AS Roma-Fiorentina
AS Roma already hit the panic button and replaced their coach after two straight dismal losses. The shakeup helped the squad last week when the club won their first match of the season against Siena (which moved them out of the last place league table abyss). Now the club must continue their climb to the top. Fiorentina on the other hand look to continue their strong 7 point start by reaching double digits with a victory.
