The Yank is coming off of a strong weekend of picks last week (5-1) and who knows maybe this week it can get even better. Lets not push our luck, but enough about me. Lets take a look at this weeks upcoming winners and losers.
Juventus was an unlucky loser last week when the defense tanked it in the last thirty minutes and gave up three consecutive goals to Napoli. This week they want revenge and Atalanta is the perfect squad to take out their frustrations on. Atalanta has climbed up to sixteenth, but expect them to begin to slide back down into the relegation zone. Final score 2-0 Juventus. Napoli was the benefactors of last week’s match for Juve and they should continue their timely ways with a 2-0 victory over lowly Catania.
Bari has played better defense then any other Serie A squad. It is a statistical fact. In eleven matches they have only allowed nine goals this year. Against the other new boys, Livorno, they should achieve yet another shutout. Bari wins 1-0. Bologna has had one of those years where they just can’t seem to put it together. They are currently in seventeenth place and should suffer another heartbreak. This time it will be Palermo who edges them out 2-1.
As for the final matches of the week: Parma should move into the top six squads with a victory over Chievo Verona 3-1, Cagliari will have too much to handle when Sampdoria comes to town. I like Cassano’s crew 2-1. And in the final match I like Genoa to beat Siena 3-0.
