1) Ronaldinho- AC Milan
He’s back. The Brazilian footballer of the year was treated by some critics like he was around the age of Wilford Brimley despite still being in his twenties. Ronaldinho has proven everyone wrong and has proven to first year coach, Leonardo, that he can carry a club on his back and be that guy that is the team leader. Ronaldinho is in the lead with 8 assists and he certainly is not done yet. Milan is a top four squad for good and it is the play of Ronaldinho that is keeping them on top.
2) Antonio Cassano- Sampdoria
Trailing Ronaldinho by one assist, Cassano was the hot foot at the beginning of the season when his club had one of the strongest starts of any Serie A squad. He has cooled down as the season has progressed, but never count out this national team reject. He has something to prove to everyone out there.
3) Andrea Cossu- Cagliari
Not a household name yet, but Cossu did have ten assists last year. This year he already has seven and is looking like he could finish the season in the top three spots. Not too shabby for a guy with only one full season of action under his belt.
4) David Pizarro- Roma
Pizarro is one of those unselfish guys that helps out Totti on the attack. He is two assists behind the leader and could climb up the board if Roma continues to impress offensively. The thirty year old midfielder likely will.
