1) Pato/AC Milan
It is hard not to consider Pato after winning the award last season and this year the young Brazilian has kept up his impressive goal scoring pace and currently leads second place Milan in goals scored. Not many players in any major league have the type of potential that Pato does and by the end of the year I would be shocked if Pato doesn’t finish in the top five total in goals scored. And in a few more seasons I will not be surprised if Pato is taking home the Golden Boot Award annually.
2) Marek Hamsik/Napoli
For a midfielder Hamsik is scoring at an incredible rate this season for Napoli. The twenty two year old currently resides in the top ten in the league with eight goals. Even more impressive young Hamsik only scored nine goals all of last year. So the Slovakian born Hamsik could double his goal total from last season making him a contender for Most Improved Player as well. And it also doesn’t hurt Hamsik that his team is still in the hunt for a top six finish. Look out for Napoli and their budding star.
3) Mario Balotelli/Inter
If you have watched an Inter match recently it has been Balotelli that has been the difference maker for the powerhouse squad. The nineteen year old forward has scored five goals this season and assisted three times as well. Inter has many great talents up front, but Balotelli is the future of the organization and the best teenager in all of Serie A at the moment.
